Mechanical parts processing factors and surface treatment

The accuracy of a CNC machine depends on several factors, some of which are determined by the manufacturer of the CNC machine, and some of which can be controlled by the machinist.

In order to achieve accurate machining of mechanical parts, the following factors need to be considered:

Firstly, the quality of the machine:

A good machine with good quality components will usually produce more accurate machine parts than a low quality machine.

Machine condition:

CNC machines contain a myriad of components, so proper maintenance is important to keep them accurate.

Tool condition:

Dull and worn tools that show signs of back face wear, crescent pit wear, etc. reduce the accuracy of CNC machines, so they need to be kept in good condition. Dull tools also increase cutting temperatures, which is another factor that reduces accuracy.

Fourth, on-machine inspection:

Feedback tools such as on-machine probes can tell the machinist if the machine is cutting accurately during operation. These tools can also be used to correct arbitrary deviations in real time, thus improving accuracy.

v. Temperature and humidity:

The working environment can affect machining accuracy. Although the machine is capable of cutting mechanical parts in warm conditions, thermal consistency needs to be maintained to avoid deviations.

VI.Calibration:

Machine tools should be calibrated regularly to maintain accuracy.

Try to select the design datum on the mechanical parts as the positioning datum. This requires rough machining, consider what kind of rough datum to the fine datum of the various surfaces of the machining out, that is, CNC machining centres used on the various positioning datum should be in front of the ordinary machine tools or other machine tools in the machining is completed, so that it is easy to determine the accuracy of the various stations machining surfaces with each other in relation to the accuracy of the relationship.
